Carmona, called the ‘Bright Star of Europe‘, is a medieval village famous for its archaeological discoveries such as the subways of San Felipe or its palace-houses, as well as the necropolis, this is one of our most popular excursions.
Full of Andalusian character and with an enormous monumental heritage, Carmona has more than 3,000 years of known history and is the first archaeological site in Spain to be opened to the public.
In this private tour to Carmona we will visit this beautiful white town located on a hill very close to Seville.
It has been inhabited for more than five thousand years and is located on a plateau from where you can see the Vega of the Carbones river. Its geographical location has given it historical importance.
We begin our visit at the Roman necropolis, built more than two thousand years ago. Its series of tombs and archaeological pieces are representative of the art and culture of the time.
We will then walk through the streets of the historic centre, where we will have the opportunity to admire its millenary buildings. We will pass through the city gates, which were part of the ancient wall that protected the city at different times in its history.
Meeting Point
Wednesdays at 9:30 am and Saturdays at 16:30 pm. Pick up in your accommodation in Seville or accessible near point. After your reservation, we will get in touch with you to specify the collection point and the exact pick up time.
Availability & Languages
- You can check the availability in the reservation calendar. You can reserve a tour up to 10 hours before the start time.
- Tour available in English, Spanish, Italian and French. Choose the language of the to on the booking form. A minimum of 3 people is required to guarantee the tour in French or Italian. If this number of people is not reached, the tour will be done by default in English or Spanish. For other languages, please contact us.
