Discover a jewel from he Caliphate

1 Day Trip from Seville to Córdoba

Mon - Tue - Wed - Thu - Fri - Sat - Sun (Approximately 10 hours.)

The city of Cordoba, on the banks of the Guadalquivir, was the capital of the province of Betica during the Roman Empire and the Caliphate of Cordoba. Cordoba\’s history has left us with architectural wonders such as the Mosque-Cathedral, the Roman Bridge and the old Jewish quarter, among others.

On departure from Seville, our guide will pick you up at one of the meeting points and take you to Carmona, a white village just half an hour from the city that deserves a short stop to admire its beauty. After this short guided tour, we will set off for Cordoba, where we will arrive after about an hour\’s drive. Once we arrive at our main destination, we will take a guided walking tour of the historic centre of the city, visiting some of its most important monuments.

We will walk through the main streets of the city, passing the Roman Bridge, the old Jewish quarter, the Royal Stables and the Cordoba Synagogue (closed on Mondays). We will also take a short walk through the famous and colourful patios of Cordoba, which will give us the opportunity to take some wonderful photographs that will remain as one of the most beautiful memories of this excursion to Cordoba.

After getting to know the historic centre of Cordoba, we will take a short break from our tour to enjoy Cordoba\’s cuisine, as recommended by our guide, or to enjoy your own lunch or picnic if you wish. You will also have some free time if you want to do some shopping.

After lunch, and to round off the day, we will visit the beautiful Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1984.

There will be plenty of time to enjoy this wonderful architectural monument, which in its origins was created for Muslim worship and is one of the most important jewels in Andalusia\’s historical and architectural heritage.

After our visit to the Mosque of Cordoba, we will return to the meeting point to board our transport that will take us back to Seville, where we will arrive after a wonderful day of sightseeing in places of exceptional beauty.

Remember that if you would like to spend another day in the capital, Cordoba, you can book your excursion with an overnight stay and return to Seville with us the following day.

All Around Great Tour Carlos was a wonderful guide. He incorporated what we wanted to see into the itinerary. He was very knowledgeable and lots of fun. He even helped me purchase train tickets to Madrid for the next day. Rhonda and the white villages were beautiful!

Birthday Tour Carlos was a great guide. We wanted to go on a wine tasting as well and they handled and coordinated it quickly and we added that into our day. It started to rain while we were at lunch and he parked as close as possible so we did not have to walk in the rain. He made the whole day very easy and enjoyable. I even paid a bit extra to have them pick us up at our home which was great as well.

Do not miss this memorable day in Andalucia! We saw three unique towns in the region highlighting the stunning scenery and varied agriculture associated with each. Our guide was Guido who shared facts, history, and distinctive character associated with the region. He was informed, thoughtful, and helpful. At one point, Guido guided a person in our group to a store and interpreted in the process of replacing lost contacts which were originally from USA - an amazing feat. Our family of 8 unanimously recommend this tour and Guido, our guide!
